Christmas 2017 in and around Marbella

Christmas in and around Marbella I was asking by a friend what it’s like in Marbella during Christmas week? Well a lot and nothing. Basically, winter time in Marbella is boring. It’s quiet and empty. A lot of restaurants and nearly all the nice beach Chiringuitos are closed. The old town is nearly empty at all. Marbella and specially Puerto Banus it’s not what it is in summer time. Weather could be nice, up to 20 degrees at daytime, but nights are very cold. But you can have lunch outside sitting with only a T-shirt on. Winter in Marbella is good for golfers, and that’s it. But let’s go back to Xmas time. A lot of the available restaurant have Christmas lunch and dinner parties at the 24th 25th and 26th! it’s good to make a reservation to be on save side. Streets have nice Xmas lights all around. There are also some religious processions in Marbella, San Pedro and Malaga which are very nice to watch. Nightlife in Marbella and Puerto Banus

What about nightlife in Marbella and Puerto Banus? Well, no more nightlife in Spain mainland than on the Costa del Sol. Specially in the area between Elviria (Marbella) and Estepona. The main hotspot is in and around Puerto Banus Marina. Here you will find all the famous bars, discotheques and clubs of Marbella. In Puerto Banus marina you will find all the venues on first and second line. Some in Nueva Andalusia and other along the coast on the east side till Elviria where Nikki Beach is situated and to the west side of Marbella where it ends at Laguna Village with Puro Beach. Most nightclubs in Marbella open its doors at about 2300h, some even not before 0200h in the morning. So if you want to enjoy nightlife in Marbella you have to be as fresh as paint to hang on all night long till dawn. Sting at Starlite Festival in Marbella – Police hits in a new style At the beginning a small anecdote; When we photographer visited the concert yesterday, we were told that the management of Sting allowed us to take photos of the first two songs only and then have to leave the concert. We were not allowed to stay there and watch the concert which is very funny, especially for me, because I had to write this article. But from my experience, I know that often the management of such stars are very sensitive and bring crazy rules that are unfounded and do not reflect the opinion of the artist himself.
