Puerto Banus Marina – Marbella Puerto Banús is a marina located in the area of Nueva Andalucía, to the southwest of Marbella, Spain on the Costa del Sol. This resort town was developed in 1970 as a luxury marina and shopping complex for the rich and famous. Developed around a coastal village in the Mediterranean architectural style. Puerto Banús offers its visitors an extraordinary fare of expensive shopping malls, restaurants and bars. with a marina studded with luxury yachts of the rich and famous with the interior streets having impressive archways and patios. Puerto Banús is located on the Costa del Sol of southeast Spain, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) southwest of Marbella, 64 kilometres (40 mi) southwest of Malaga. The Malaga Airport is 60 kilometres (37 mi) away. There is a good network of roads and transport services connecting Puerto Banús with adjacent towns and suburbs. A taxi from Malaga Airport to the marina is approx 100 euros and approx 15 euros from Marbella centre. A rainy St. Patrick’s day in Puerto Baus, Marbella. Saint Patrick’s Day was made an official Christian feast day in the early 17th century and is observed by the Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion (especially the Church of Ireland), the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the Lutheran Church. The day commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland, and celebrates the heritage and culture of the Irish in general. Celebrations generally involve public parades and festivals, céilithe, and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks. Christians also attend church services and the Lenten restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol are lifted for the day, which has encouraged and propagated the holiday’s tradition of alcohol consumption. Patrick was a 5th-century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland. Much of what is known about Saint Patrick comes from the Declaration, which was allegedly written by Patrick himself. It is believed that he was born in Roman Britain in the fourth century, into a wealthy Romano-British family. His father was a deacon and his grandfather was a priest in the Christian church. Take a walk through Marbella’s old town. Partially surrounded by the ruins of an old Arab wall with narrow white washed streets, old churches and squares, as well as lots of fascinating shops and boutiques At the heart of the old town is Orange Square which dates back to 1485 and, according to Christian urban design, is surrounded by whitewashed houses and three historical buildings – the town hall, the old governor’s house and the Chapel of Santiago. The gardens are full of brightly coloured flowers and orange trees and in the centre stands a bust of King Juan Carlos 1. Also alot of restaurants are close till easter time. But also in wintertime, there is always a nice feeling going around in Marbella’s old town, through the empty streets. Glamorous White & Gold 2016 Party at La Sala By The Sea Opened The Summer Season in Style Last Friday, 3rd June, La Sala by the Sea opened its doors to the Marbella summer party season with an exclusive night-long event with fantastic entertainment, celebrities and live music acts. The champagne was flowing as fire breathers, stilt walkers, gymnasts, and beautiful dancers entertained the arriving guests. Dressed in shimmering white and gold, the glamorous partygoers also enjoyed the performances by La Sala’s signature acts such as Masquerade Duo, Menllizon Drum Duo and the latest tunes by DJ Scott Strutton. Besides fabulous entertainment the partygoers at this iconic summer party were treated to delicious Thai inspired canapés, including Spring Rolls, Butterfly King Prawns with a mouthwatering curry sauce, Chicken Satay and Prawn Wontons to name a few. Among the attendees of Sala’s famed White and Gold Party were also former footballers David Bentley, Stephen Carr and Ian Harte, Lee Clark (Manager of Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock), Karl Robinson (Manager of Championship club Milton Keynes Dons) and Chris Hughton (Manager of Brighton & Hove Albion).
