A rainy St. Patrick’s day in Puerto Baus, Marbella. Saint Patrick’s Day was made an official Christian feast day in the early 17th century and is observed by the Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion (especially the Church of Ireland), the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the Lutheran Church. The day commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland, and celebrates the heritage and culture of the Irish in general. Celebrations generally involve public parades and festivals, céilithe, and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks. Christians also attend church services and the Lenten restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol are lifted for the day, which has encouraged and propagated the holiday’s tradition of alcohol consumption. Patrick was a 5th-century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland. Much of what is known about Saint Patrick comes from the Declaration, which was allegedly written by Patrick himself. It is believed that he was born in Roman Britain in the fourth century, into a wealthy Romano-British family. His father was a deacon and his grandfather was a priest in the Christian church. Sting at Starlite Festival in Marbella – Police hits in a new style At the beginning a small anecdote; When we photographer visited the concert yesterday, we were told that the management of Sting allowed us to take photos of the first two songs only and then have to leave the concert. We were not allowed to stay there and watch the concert which is very funny, especially for me, because I had to write this article. But from my experience, I know that often the management of such stars are very sensitive and bring crazy rules that are unfounded and do not reflect the opinion of the artist himself. I once met Lady Gaga before a concert in Vienna and asked her about it because her management also had such strange rules, she was very surprised why it said so and said that she do not know about it and she does not care how many photographs you take or how long you stay after the shooting. Amazing Jungle Party at Nikki Beach Marbella Nikki Beach was transformed into a wild jungle on the 6th August! Guests were surprised with living animals like parrots and snakes which they were allowed to touch but as well tigers, lions and bears were running around 🙂 As usual when Nikki Beach is celebrating a party the atmoshere was vibrant caused by live acts like drummers, violinist and saxo. La Sala in the Sky (Monday 11th July 2016)takes off with Mayor Bernal ‘La Sala in the Sky’s’ much anticipated launch went ahead on Friday 8th July 2016. Just a couple of days later, MEB, local press – including Canal Sur reporters who were broadcasting live from the sky – guests from the town hall of Marbella and the Mayor of Marbella, Pepe Bernal, were invited to sample Marbella’s brand new floating restaurant. The concept, developed by Belgian company, has been implemented in 40 of the world’s most impressive cities – Marbella being the latest addition. The attendees of this VIP Dinner Experiance were prepared for an exciting night and they weren’t disappointed. The 22-seat restaurant is built on platform which is raised 50 metres above the ground and all seats swivel by 180˚ to give each diner panoramic views across the skyline.
