New Gourmethall in Marbella. (Ambrosia Mercado) Ambrosía Mercado Gourmet Marbella is a new-concept Gourmet Market located in the distinguished area of Puerto Banús in Marbella. Ambrosía‘s concept is based on the cheerfulness of a market environment and warm Mediterranean hospitality that is undoubtedly characteristic of the Costa del Sol. The philosophy is taken from “La ambrosia”, word used to describe the exclusive food and drink of the Gods in Greek mythology. Our aim is for our visitors to feel a ‘divine pleasure for their taste buds’ as they consume our extraordinary products. Ambrosía Gourmet Market Marbella is a design that appeals to all the senses. It has evolutionised our long-forgotten squares and traditional markets into an avant-garde market that combines 3 main aspects: -Tasting in situ of natural and manufactured products, in a cheerful and bustling market environment, as well as in our restaurant area. -Sale of food and drinks to enjoy daily or to take away on the odd occasion (fresh or manufactured). The delicatessen that can be found in the market is of both national and international origin. -Experiencing culinary, cultural and social events in the glamorous and cosmopolitan setting of Puerto Banús, Marbella. The market is free […]

Partially surrounded by the ruins of an old Arab wall with narrow white washed streets, old churches and squares, as well as lots of fascinating shops and boutiques At the heart of the old town is Orange Square which dates back to 1485 and, according to Christian urban design, is surrounded by whitewashed houses and three historical buildings – the town hall, the old governor’s house and the Chapel of Santiago. Christmas in and around Marbella I was asking by a friend what it’s like in Marbella during Christmas week? Well a lot and nothing. Basically, winter time in Marbella is boring. It’s quiet and empty. A lot of restaurants and nearly all the nice beach Chiringuitos are closed. The old town is nearly empty at all. Marbella and specially Puerto Banus it’s not what it is in summer time. Weather could be nice, up to 20 degrees at daytime, but nights are very cold. But you can have lunch outside sitting with only a T-shirt on. Winter in Marbella is good for golfers, and that’s it. But let’s go back to Xmas time. A lot of the available restaurant have Christmas lunch and dinner parties at the 24th 25th and 26th! it’s good to make a reservation to be on save side. Streets have nice Xmas lights all around. There are also some religious processions in Marbella, San Pedro and Malaga which are very nice to watch. I prefer to be in Marbella than in any other city in Europe during Xmas and new years’ time, well nearly any… You can take a look to the Xmas events in and […]
