Marbella by night Every visitor to Marbella’s town will be surprised by the old city part of Marbella, with its many narrow streets full of restaurants, bars and shops. The street plan of this part of the city is characteristic of an Arabic old city, there is no system in the plan of the streets, some ends at a house entrance and others just connecting another street with the next one or opens in a plaza. Most of them with a Christian church. The old town in Marbella is full of shops where you can buy souvenirs like leather goods or ceramics, all made in Spain. It’s a typical area for tourists to walk around vesting money on some unusual things. At night when the sun is down and the temperature getting cooler, its nice to visit the old town of Marbella and dine in one of the many nice restaurants which you can’t miss. A lot of this restaurants are really excellent, having delicious Spanish and International cuisine with nice atmosphere, while other restaurants are just picking up tourist money. So its good to inform yourself in advance about the best restaurants in the old city of Marbella. Plaza […]
Xmas and new year in Marbella 2020 will be very different this year. Corona has the absolut power over the festive season 2020. The new regulations in Andalusia says that restaurants can be open till 0130 am at 24th and 31st of December 2020 and group of no more than 10 people can be together at one table. Masks have to be on all time except when eating or drinking. dancing or sitting at the bar are prohibit. That means that celebrating xmas or new year 2020 will be not as usual this year. many people will prefer to celebrate with family or friends at home rather than going out to a crowded location to protect themself from the covid-19 virus. on the other hand, a lot of restaurants at the Costa del Sol will stay closed or even will never open again due to the Corona situation all the year along. Lets hope that 2021 will be a better year and life will come back as usual and as it was before Corona.

Christmas in and around Marbella I was asking by a friend what it’s like in Marbella during Christmas week? Well a lot and nothing. Basically, winter time in Marbella is boring. It’s quiet and empty. A lot of restaurants and nearly all the nice beach Chiringuitos are closed. The old town is nearly empty at all. Marbella and specially Puerto Banus it’s not what it is in summer time. Weather could be nice, up to 20 degrees at daytime, but nights are very cold. But you can have lunch outside sitting with only a T-shirt on. Winter in Marbella is good for golfers, and that’s it. But let’s go back to Xmas time. A lot of the available restaurant have Christmas lunch and dinner parties at the 24th 25th and 26th! it’s good to make a reservation to be on save side. Streets have nice Xmas lights all around. There are also some religious processions in Marbella, San Pedro and Malaga which are very nice to watch. I prefer to be in Marbella than in any other city in Europe during Xmas and new years’ time, well nearly any… You can take a look to the Xmas events in and […]
New Gourmethall in Marbella. (Ambrosia Mercado) Ambrosía Mercado Gourmet Marbella is a new-concept Gourmet Market located in the distinguished area of Puerto Banús in Marbella. Ambrosía‘s concept is based on the cheerfulness of a market environment and warm Mediterranean hospitality that is undoubtedly characteristic of the Costa del Sol. The philosophy is taken from “La ambrosia”, word used to describe the exclusive food and drink of the Gods in Greek mythology. Our aim is for our visitors to feel a ‘divine pleasure for their taste buds’ as they consume our extraordinary products. Ambrosía Gourmet Market Marbella is a design that appeals to all the senses. It has evolutionised our long-forgotten squares and traditional markets into an avant-garde market that combines 3 main aspects: -Tasting in situ of natural and manufactured products, in a cheerful and bustling market environment, as well as in our restaurant area. -Sale of food and drinks to enjoy daily or to take away on the odd occasion (fresh or manufactured). The delicatessen that can be found in the market is of both national and international origin. -Experiencing culinary, cultural and social events in the glamorous and cosmopolitan setting of Puerto Banús, Marbella.
