The Spanish government has shared its plans to open up the country in 4 steps beginning from 2nd of May 2020 The Spanish government announced this Thursday evening that there will be partial relaxation. On the Costa del Sol you may already from Saturday the second may go for a walk and do sports alone or with persons living in the same house between 6 and 10 a.m. and also between 20 and 23 o’clock. But only within a distance of one kilometre from home. This regulation is valid until 11 May, after that, phase 1 will be introduced and the rules will be announced later. It is hoped that by the beginning of the summer season in July, all restrictions will be lifted to encourage tourism. Already two weeks ago many beach clubs in and around Marbella would have wanted to open the 2020 season, but due to the Corona crisis this was not possible. Sting at Starlite Festival in Marbella – Police hits in a new style At the beginning a small anecdote; When we photographer visited the concert yesterday, we were told that the management of Sting allowed us to take photos of the first two songs only and then have to leave the concert. We were not allowed to stay there and watch the concert which is very funny, especially for me, because I had to write this article. But from my experience, I know that often the management of such stars are very sensitive and bring crazy rules that are unfounded and do not reflect the opinion of the artist himself. I once met Lady Gaga before a concert in Vienna and asked her about it because her management also had such strange rules, she was very surprised why it said so and said that she do not know about it and she does not care how many photographs you take or how long you stay after the shooting. Christmas in and around Marbella I was asking by a friend what it’s like in Marbella during Christmas week? Well a lot and nothing. Basically, winter time in Marbella is boring. It’s quiet and empty. A lot of restaurants and nearly all the nice beach Chiringuitos are closed. The old town is nearly empty at all. Marbella and specially Puerto Banus it’s not what it is in summer time. Weather could be nice, up to 20 degrees at daytime, but nights are very cold. But you can have lunch outside sitting with only a T-shirt on. Winter in Marbella is good for golfers, and that’s it. But let’s go back to Xmas time. A lot of the available restaurant have Christmas lunch and dinner parties at the 24th 25th and 26th! it’s good to make a reservation to be on save side. Streets have nice Xmas lights all around. There are also some religious processions in Marbella, San Pedro and Malaga which are very nice to watch.
